Eagles Nest is a MUST PLAY every time we spend the week camping in the North Myrtle Beach area. Course is always in great shape, entire staff is friendly!
Great course...awesome staff!! The ranger "Daryl Ann Arbor MI" was the best I've seen. I took my girl friend who never played before, he recognized the fact we were a bit slow but was very polite! He showed up a few minutes later with a ladies set of clubs since we were playing out of one bag!! He said he understood new golfers and encouraged her!! Said he hoped having extra bag would help speed up round especially around greens/putting...which it did!! She enjoyed her first time out!! Tyvm!!
Excellent fairways. Clean up needed in some tree areas. Course has improved a lot.

Just played there Aug. 21 2019 and always enjoy the course. Greens in excellent shape. Staff crazy and friendly! They are always looking for ways to improve the play. I play with many people from other states and really have a nice time. The Yellow tees are more forgiving and the white tees more of a challenge. As good as any course i have played or better.

I played Eagle Nest on December 4th and found the golf course to be in great shape. The greens were very good and quick. Could use some work on the tees, but I understand that work will be done soon. I would encourage everyone to give it a try.

The course was in great shape, the staff helpful. Everyone in our group of 6 golfers said they wanted to return. Forward tees provided a good advantage for the short hitters. Would have liked for the snack shop to be open when we came off the course around 6 p.m.

Played the oourse for the second time today. The course and people there are great. My son and I really enjoyed our experience.
Eagle's Nest has maybe the fastest greens on the Grand Strand. They Roll fast and true. The mini-verde grass that is now on the greens really putts well. The Nest is an older course that has upgraded itself. The last 3 holes are as good as any on the Strand. If you have not played Eagle's Nest recently, it is well worth a visit. Great Greens!
Course is in the best shape than in the last 20 years I have been playing it. Best ever!

Played the course 11/15/2013. Nice layout. The ranger was very nice and warned me of hazards on the first 9 and he happened to see us at the turn and did the same for us on hole 10! Would recommend the course to a friend.
We have played 3 times since 1 Nov. and the course is getting better as the overseed grows. those last three holes are true to form

GREAT DOWN TO EARTH STAFF.WE WILL PLAY HERE EVERY MYRTLE BEACH TRIP.COST WAS 1/3 OF WHAT I PAY AT HOME. IT IS A BIRDIE,BIRDIE,DOUBLE BOGEY COURSE SO FOR PLAYING SKINS IT IS PERFECT.AS FOR THE COURSE,I PREFER IT OVER 90% OF COURSES I PLAY.PLAY IT AND GO UP TO CALABASH FOR DINNER.

We have come to Myrtle Beach for a lot of years. Someone told us about Eagle Nest. We have now played 5 times. Love it!! Have been recommending to all. Will be back next year.

Great course. Greens had been aerified but the price was reduced that week so that worked.
Very fairly priced for conditions
After reading some other reviews, I was skeptical about this course. I was pleasantly surprised. Fairways are plush. Greens, with the exception of a couple, are beautiful. The greens that were a little suspect did not interfere with play as the holes were cut far from the problem areas. If you come to Myrtle Beach and don't play Eagle Nest you are cheating yourself. It is worth playing even at full price

I have lived on the Grand Strand for 16 years and have played most of the courses. Eagle Nest has made more positive changes than any of them. If you would like to play on some great greens and have a lot of shot diversity I would highly recommend Eagle Nest. It is also very affordable compared to many of the other courses especially considering it's condition.

Worst run golf course had a 12:30 tee time we got off at 1:30 no ranger there were 3 foursomes on every hole 6 hour round!!!

Loved the course! It's challenging but very fair. The fairways are wide but if you miss you'll pay. The greens are tricky with some very subtle rolls. The cost was very reasonable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I play Eagles Nest week;y since may 2013 has become a favorite course over the past few months the course is in the best shape and is continually getting better.fairways and green are well kept. LOWEST green fees in myrtle and the staff is great.

Played Eagle Nest Wednesday afternoon. My last play here was two years ago after new mini-verde greens were installed. At that time the course was not in good shape. From what I recall the greens were slow & bumpy, and the fairways had a number of bare patches. Well, yesterday I was pleasantly surprised at the improvement of the course. The greens were actually very good. Speed was definitely better than medium but probably just shy of medium-fast. No problem getting uphill putts to the hole. Putts rolled true and turf quality was healthy. The greens may not be quite to the level of a Legends Heathland for example, but they are pretty darn close, and they are definitely miles ahead some of the other Gene Hamm / Russell Breeden courses (Azalea Sands, Beachwood, Cypress Bay, Possum Trot, Burning Ridge) that Eagle Nest used to be compared to. I have been playing golf in Myrtle Beach for 27 years, and finally played Eagle's Nest today! It was a pleasure to play! Greens were awesome! Layout is challenging, and you must hit shots and manage your way around the course! All of my friends said they really liked the course. I will definitely bring my friends back to play again!

it was our first time playing. Everything was great.
Loved the course and everyone except the gentleman working the front desk. A week ago I had used "golf now" to purchase 18 holes to play at Eagle Nest. Of course I knew this was a discounted price, but I am in college so I need all the discounts I can get. I ended up getting rained on during the 7th hole and had to go get a 9 hole rain check. The gentleman at the front desk did not make me aware that the next week I would have to pay an extra 11 dollars. I wish he would have told me the previous week that I would have to because then I may have reacted differently then what I did. Lucky enough, a gentleman that worked there felt bad and let me play as a guest with him. I play in a local church golf group and we frequently play Eagle Nest. Over the last few years Eagle Nest has improved dramatically. The greens are really smooth and fast. The fairways are in good shape. I have been told that Eagle Nest is planning to continue improving. One of the best things about Eagle Nest is it has a natural setting and a great traditional layout.
I have lived at the beach for several years and I play in several local golf goups. We play many of the golf courses at the beach throughout the year. Eagle Nest has vastly improved over the past 1-2 years. The staff is very friendly and the golf course just keeps getting better and better. If you want to play on some smooth and fast greens, then you will love Eagle Nest. I highly recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Eagle Nest. The course is not only beautiful but is a great test of golf. The clubhouse is very welcoming and the food first class. I look forward to playing there again.
You will enjoy playing Eagle Nest. I play every Thursday early AM and Darby always has a cart waiting next to space where I park. The pro shop has a great selection of reasonably priced gear. The course is transitioning to winter conditions right now with over seed in the fairways coming in very nicely. The greens are firm, fast and smooth. Trees that were shading some tee areas have been removed and new sod has been installed. The bunkers have brand new sand. Give it try!

Have played this course twice in last two weeks. This course is BY FAR in better shape than some of the other courses in the area. I really enjoy having fairways with grass on them, this course is very well maintained.
